Self-Cherishing Viewpoints Can Disguise as Self-Love (But Often Reinforce Fear)
In today’s episode of Oracle Mornings, I’m introducing a powerful new oracle deck I recently added to my collection: Kali Oracle by Alana Fairchild.
This deck carries the energy of the Wild Divine Mother — ferocious grace, supreme protection, and the courage to move through transformation rather than resist it. Kali is often considered a “shadow” archetype, but her wisdom is deeply loving, fiercely protective, and ultimately liberating.
I share an excerpt from the guidebook introduction and then pull a card using one of the suggested spreads, asking:
What does the Divine Mother want me to understand so that I can release what no longer serves my soul’s fulfillment?
The card that comes forward is Maha Vidya, bringing a message of unrestrained wisdom, heart-led courage, and the invitation to release self-cherishing viewpoints that limit our growth. This episode is a reminder that even when life feels uncomfortable or unexpected, there is a deeper intelligence guiding us toward healing and transformation.
Key Takeaways:
-
Kali’s energy is not here to punish, but to liberate and protect
-
Wisdom emerges when we allow the heart to lead, not just logic
-
Self-cherishing viewpoints can masquerade as self-love, but often reinforce fear
-
Growth may feel uncomfortable — but discomfort does not mean you are off path
-
You are not being denied or punished; you are being assisted
Affirmation: I trust the wisdom unfolding within me. I release fear, soften my expectations, and allow my heart to guide me forward.
